STREET

PHOTOGRAPHY

Call for entries: Street Photography

Since photographic legends like Eugene Atget, Bernice Abbott, and Henri Cartier Bresson pioneered the genre, photographers around the world have been captivated by the streets surrounding them. The perfect setting to shoot the constant flux of our increasingly urbanized world, the street itself simultaneously captures our social interactions with one another as well as the environments we’ve manufactured for ourselves. Even so, street photography doesn’t necessarily have to be all about the street in which it’s relegated – rather, the genre is about telling the stories of individuals and entire societies all within a single image.

Open to all type of street photography: Urban scenes, street portraits,  architecture, abstract, candid, staged, travel and more…

Juried by Alex Webb & Rebecca Norris Webb

PhotoChronicles is proud to announce that master photographers Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb will be acting jurors for our next exhibition. Collaborators and partners for nearly three decades, the couple has worked together to create expansive bodies of work displayed across 18 combined publications. Having received accolades from esteemed organizations including Magnum Photos, the New York Times, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb have gone on to lead dozens of informative photographic workshops worldwide. Entries selected by our jurors will be invited to participate in our next exhibition.

Be a part of the PhotoChronicles exhibition in New York!

Located in the heart of Brooklyn, our next photographic showcase will be hosted during one month in a New York gallery. Twenty four photographers focused on street photography will be selected from our pool of submissions to participate in the exhibition. Aside from being an opportunity to gain international exposure, selected photographers will also have the opportunity to sell their printed work to the general public.
